Actually, for the kids, running from a strange man who just ambushed them in the woods is the safe and correct response.

This goes waaaay beyond ‘hirsute’ – this man needs to be shorn.

OKAY, someone from Philly needs to pick up the fact this guy is drawn as hairy as, as orange as and as big as GRITTY!!!

There was an X-Files episode where Mulder and Scully travelled to Gibsonton FL to investigate a murder while dealing with an assortment of people who did the old freak shows in carnivals and the circus. The sheriff of the town reminds of the guy Char and Dean ran into. He was the Wolf-Boy for a carnival before he started going bald and started a new career in law enforcement.

Cultural misappropriation is no laughing matter.

Generally it’s dark haired people that have a lot of body hair. Red heads lean toward freckles.
