    I make great pumpkin bread but most people would still prefer tollhouse cookies. I wonder how they got rid of the burning smell.

    If I came home and my kitchen smelled like my husband (no kids in house) burned something, I’d demand he tell me what he burned! Either Mom was gone long enough for the smell to dissipate or she has no sense of smell.

    Macushlalondra: Mrs. Tubbsbottl and I have not tasted pumpkin bread, being a squash it seems an odd treat at best. Yet, adventurous as any wise soul, we look forward to discovering a new taste. Your comment gives us courage. By the way, I make a very good French Apple Pie. Would that I could share some with you.
