    Why in the world would anyone want a pierced tongue?=How many have heard that in the days of slavery, runaway slaves, when recaptured, had their tongues pierced by their owners? It’s a fact. And apparently, not well known.

    “Some have the urge to make themselves different from the run-of-the-mill person as they see them.”

    Anyone who would go to such lengths to be ‘different’ doesn’t have any real sense of who they are. Being different just to be different from everyone else is no, well, different from doing what everyone else is doing. Both types are merely inverse mirror images of one another.
