Stuff it all in the return envelope and send it back.

Could be shortened to “pluggers get mail”.

Bills, ads, and spam – in the actual mailbox or the electronic one. And what percentage of calls do you get that aren’t an awful lot more of the same? The shredder and call blocker get a real workout.

Stimulus checks came in envelopes that looked like junk mail.

Pluggers open all their mail, including junk mail, so that they know what has to be shredded and what can go directly into recycling.

I always check in case there’s some plastic “membership card” inside; don’t want to put that in paper recycling.

Junk mail is actual mail just like a junk car is an actual car.

Some I’ll open and read for a good laugh, others go straight into the trash, and some I write “Return to Sender – Address Unknown” on them.

My 86 year old neighbor finally opened a piece of ‘junk’ mail and discovered he had been throwing away COSCO rebate checks for over a year. His wife who had passed apparently managed the finances. COSCO staff were great, checked their records and cut him new rebate checks to replace all those he had tossed.Lesson: Plugger or no, open all the mail.

The single most-disguised junk mail: Hearing aids.

First thing I look at is the postmark. If it says “presort standard”, it’s junk.
