Somewhere in Hollywood, someone is trying to come up with a sequel to Beckett’s famous, absurdist play. :)

In the mid-Twentieth Century. Absurdism was a popular theme, in response to the then-novel idea of worldwide nuclear annihilation. Another good example is “The Bed Sitting Room” which was first a play and later a movie. Also, “Rhinoceros” by Ionesco, in which the absurdity is focused on spreading fascism. These plays can be hilarious and heart-breaking at the the same time.
