Brings back memories.. I I used to get penny per dandelion. Anfer a while I think that my mother got tired of counting them and switched to 5 cents per pail. I would bring them in for her to see, and she would pack them, down and send me back out for more.

Every year our small front yard in Overland PK KS would sprout beautiful “dandy lions” we tried to weed out before they went to seed. Would NEVER used a weed killer chemical. A few neighborhood kids saw me having so much fun they wanted to help. I gave them a pail & weed pulling tools. What used to take hours was done in half an hour. Dandelions make good wine, are a delicious in a salad!

Dad’s going to charge him a dollar for every hole he watches the dog dig.

Incidentally, I just read “The Digging-est Dog” to my nephew.

Why would have want to get rid of all those lovely dandelions? And the leafs are edible as well.
