Silly question alert. Has there ever been a time in the 64 year history of Andy Capp where he took of his green hat and people actually got to see if he had hair and eyes?
@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp after hearing the bloke ranting about bad working conditions and industrial action going unnoticed is chuffed because he never works , so he breaks the fourth wall and gives us a smug grin :o) in my bedside nursing days I went on strike twice with very little effect, anyway when medical or paramedical staff strike, it’s the patients that suffer, my avatar is a picture of a person using their lap – top as a nutcracker , which is what I might as well do with mine as it’s too much bother to start it up so I have not used it for more than a year , how was your day? our Finally Friday should be busy but calm I hope , no errands to run, we are both in a good mood, Connie is still happy because all our clan came over yesterday , now we can just chill and this evening I’ll be having my revised fav nosh , keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady, I’ll be having my second jab on Saturday at 2pm and then we will al will be having it yearly
I just read today some guy, I think it was in Spain, “worked” at a hospital for 15 years without ever showing up. They finally caught up with him and he’s in deep doo-doo.
Yep, I loved Andy’s smug grin. I remember when a couple of my college lecturers went on strike for some reason and I was happy simply because we had no lessons and could go home. Haha.
Yes, I wasn’t the most ambitious person back then and I’m still not now. I think that’s OK. I never wanted to go to college in the first place but I was under 18 and still had to be in some sort of education or find a job.
I done a little bit of food shopping again today. I needed a packet of baby carrots for my Dad but the store I went to no longer does them. Typical.
Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. Get your 2nd COVID vaccine like a good little Affie. Haha. See you after the weekend.

Andy’s interlocutor seems to have gone on strike by himself, which is a really bad idea!!

Must have a government job then. Who would notice if one of the “paperpushers” went on strike?

Nice job!

The whole point of a union. If one worker protests, no one notices. If a thousand workers protest, management has to notice.

Brings to mind when I was a teen, and ran away from home, changed my mind, and was home before anyone was awake.

“nobody notices” when scientists go on “strike”.
