When I was a kid (back when dinosaurs ruled the earth, LOL), a couple of friends and I washed the car of a man who was part of a road-work crew on my street. We did a damn good job, except we couldn’t reach the center of the roof. While we offered to do the job for free (we really liked that Pontiac), he did pay us $1.50 (a princely sum in those days). Unfortunately, my mother demanded my $0.50!
