We didn’t have a REading list but we did have an essay the first day of school – What I did this summer. I hated it. There was nothing to write about, just making daisy chin, sleeping outside watching the stars, playing hid and seek in the neighborhood (not fun, never found, I think on purpose)……..
We always had a list of books to choose from to read at least one or more during the summer. I enjoyed it because mom and I would go to the Library. Going to the Libray as a small kid was a treat back then. I’m talking back in the late 60’s. The internet has ruined all that in my own opinion.

Seasons certainly skip in this series, yesterday it was Christmas related, today we are in summer holidays.
