Aww, come on mom, give Louis a break. Everybody needs a break no matter how good or bad a book can be. Let him go outside for a bit then he’ll have a better mood to finish the book.
I think it depends on how reading was presented to one as a child. My mother read to me as a child, and I still read. Often I’ll try to watch something on (for example) Netflix, and end up turning it off and reading (or re-reading) a book.

I love to read.
