I almost got selected for a jury panel. The initial pool was 160 people and after four days it was down to six. The judge told the lawyers to pick two or he would dismiss the case. Accept, reject, reject, accept. I and one other walked.
Hubby was on a jury for several weeks, and his employer allowed him to keep his jury pay. He bought his first computer – an Atari 800 – for $1200 in 1985.
