She needed that energy you got her to plant the garden.

Just when you start to question wether those seeds were worth it, they make a showing. We went through it earlier this season with my wife’s favorites – liliy of the valley.

I’ve decided to grow my own veggies and herbs, got as far as assembling the above ground garden bed and stopped.

Only seeds I start in the garden are beans, squash and cucumber. Rest started weeks earlier in the house.

Arlo should have skipped the lemonade and gone with red wine. That would have cheered her up.

Janice needs a raised bed. I mean outside.

Gardening takes patience. I’m still waiting for last years grass seed to sprout.

We planted 14 fruit/nut trees this year. The Ichiban Asian pear was the last one to leaf out, we were a bit concerned.

This year I’m going contrarian. I’m sowing weed in the lawn and letting the grass choke them out! 8^ }

Maybe if she watered them with the water from a watched pot.

For the first time in years – decades – I’ve decided not to put out a garden this year. Just too much work. When I get the urge for summer produce, I’ll just run up a mile or two to the Farmer’s market.

I admit to using a cushiony knee-pad item when putting the elbow grease into outdoor and indoor work.

His point of view is making Arlo sweat, thinking about after dark. Gonna be a long afternoon.

Good thing Arlo is married to Janis, or you might think he is just a bit “pervy”.

I think Arlo is enjoying the view.

That salad is going to take a while…

I believe he was hoping for some time just sitting and talking with Janis but he did not see the focus in her eyes as he sat down. I know that look. We have 9 flower gardens and one veggie plot. When she gets that look I find a project.

Does it count as gardening if you are still watering last year’s seeds?

Plant radishes they pop up in 2-3 days.

since all her gardening tools are to the side of the garden i ca assume she just finished planting everything. like they say…a watched pot never boils…she should go inside, take a shower, put on her relaxing clothes and wait for nature to take its course.
