I never knew that about Bill, or you, for that matter. That’s hard! But, Lennie, I really would like to see your work in a real book that I could take outside with me. Do you have any Treasuries or Collections available? These digital strips are great, but my books are accessible anytime. I’d like to include your work in my collection.
I saw a video a couple of years ago from a cartoonist who showed how he drew and colored his strip digitally. Very interesting. I also think (to me) that it seemed to take longer than pen and ink.
Speaking as one who can’t draw her way out of a wet paper bag, I’m extremely impressed that you used a brush instead of a pen.
As to kids these days… I work with a bunch of people who are under 30. It’s a bit frightening that they have no frame of reference to what I talk about sometimes.

It takes a lot of talent to draw with a brush. I am impressed.

I wonder how many cartoonists draw their strips using computers.

Is that filbert the nut or filbert the brush?

So, when you went from brush and ink to pen and ink, did anyone notice? I say anything that makes life easier is good.

A comic strip is when Calvin runs around without any clothes…

Lennie, you make a valid point in P4: hake and filbert.

A Filbert is a nut.
This seems to be relevant.

Question for Lennie: Do companies ever “reward” you with complimentary products when you mention them in your strip?
