This reminds me of when my daughter was reading my copy of “The Belgariad”. I decided to re-read it myself. She & I had so much fun, comparing which parts we got to & talking about it.
When our kids were growing up we would all read together every night. This was about when Harry Potter first came out.
By the time the final Harry Potter book came out the kids were still at home and we ended up buying four copies, so everyone could read it at once and share. It was nice.
I still love comics. I’m here, aren’t I? For Rose to buy her husband another copy of the comic book may seem silly and wasteful, but I think it’s one of those little things that shows how much she loves him.

Anybody here ever heard of “Elfquest”? That’s the last set of “comix” I remember reading. . .or are those considered graphic novels????

Not all childhood joys should be limited to or left in childhood :)

I don’t know about the comic books, but my MAD magazines were never where I left them.
