Why not, you expect him to tip you for wasting his wages on over priced clothes that you don’t really need.

Here’s a tip for you Gladys, can it. Unless the marriage vows read “I, Brutus, take you, Gladys, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold AND TO TIP from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health”, she doesn’t really have a case. Of course, knowing Brutus, that’s exactly how they read.

She doesn’t really want a tip, just some appreciation. Tell her how much you appreciate all her hard work, you could never take care of the family the way she does, can’t get along without her in your life… etc, and she will forget all about the tip jar.

At least she only wants a tip. Now there are women who complain they should be paid for staying at home to look after the house andt kids. As if a personal choice is something governments should be subsidizing just because you are a woman. There are gay couples where one stays home to cook, clean and look after the kiddies; Interesting that you never hear THEM talking about being paid for this. If men can do so without complaining – so can women!

If he’s in front of the tube he isn’t elsewhere making messes or breaking something or other.

He’s probably one of those men who wanted a stay at home wife so he could be in control. I agree with the person who said she could use a little appreciation for what she does. Compliments and kind words are worth much more than a tip jar, especially when it appears they have one income and share it. A tip for the husband – say dinner tastes wonderful. Notice her smile. Your comment would be free, but worth so much to the wife.

I think Gladys wants some recognition more than the economic remuneration. I think she’s smart enough to know why they are able to have a house, food, clothing, etc.

Give her 5 bucks. If the marriage is not a partnership, then, it’s not a battle worth fighting or a game worth playing…….

Tips are just hidden charges – I hate them.

You will be tipped appropriately for services rendered. After deducting expenses, you’ll owe him.

It was refreshing in Japan to be told that tipping there is considered an insult. They take pride in their work.

Can you get tips for using the TV as background noise? If so, I’m overdue for some tipping.
