That’s it. Spud has a latent need to be immersed in salt water. Despite his phobia of sharks, in defiance of his terror of octopods, Spuds regularly chooses the ocean. Lobster vs shark… jump in the water. Stay on dry land or walk on piers where he knows he has a tendency to walk off of… walk on the pier and then off. He is still in denial but he wants to be at one with the ocean.
Dad thinks it’s funny because it reminds him of the scene in Annie Hall where Annie and Alvy have to fight back against the rebellion of their intended dinner… as the lobsters have escaped and are lurking, mostly unseen, around the apartment.
Also, Dad today has his “family resemblance to Sterling” momemt as Wallace did in Saturday’s strip.
Notice Will Henry’s accuracy here. Some people think lobsters are red, and mistakenly color them that way. They are only red after boiling. Will has it right.

See, once wouldn’t be funny. Four times makes it a little funny.
Seven is hilarious.

I think I would like to move to Snug Harbor and be neighbors with the McLellans. They are fun people.

Sterling on the loose is scarier than a lobster on the loose.

Isn’t ‘Lobster on the Loose’ being premiered next month? I think it’s simultaneously being released on HBO Max. Will Ferrell plays the lobster.
