What are the chances this strip would post on a day like today. Admittedly it would have been more amazing if it posted yesterday, but still! Maybe I’m psychic?
COVID, by a huge margin. Disclaimer: I’m a retired programmer who worked in a corporate setting and had a lot of direct content with end users. It’s very simple to have an OK relationship with them. Treat them as if they know what they’re doing. It works wonders. The word “we” is a good tool. Convince them that we’re working together to solve a problem. I learned this in retail and fast food. It’s the same thing. You’re dealing with people who are often unhappy and ill at ease. The best part is that it makes your job easier.
Having IT work on my computer is great entertainment. I use a left handed mouse and it’s so funny to see the IT guy clicking all over the screen and getting weird responses.

Actually, many IT departments just want you to log off your computer and leave it on overnight so that they can do their remote updates.

People who wear their masks incorrectly make me shudder and cross the road. Dangerous, but neccessary.
