This is the reference post for people who like to read about and discuss the history of Gasoline Alley. It will allow them to put their comments in replies and those who don’t can bypass the discussion by leaving the replies closed. Fair for everyone, I think.
As usual…. even in his feeble attempts to be nice to Joel…. Rufus isn’t always wise with his words…. and his intent remains ambiguous.
I feel sorry for Joel here today. He had a generally rough week last week. He tried to teach Rufus to no avail. He tried to have Rufus fix the errors of his ways…. and unfortunately Rufus only made matters worse. He wanted to fix Gertie’s damaged vehicle, but Gertie was not yet ready for Joel’s help. And, now, Rufus, with his ambiguity of communication gives Joel pause as to Rufus’ actual intent behind his words.
Joel…. you are a good, wise man… and you always strive to do what is right and just. If I were you, I would try to put Rufus’ words out of your mind, and ride on home…. sit down, have a few pipes and a few pulls from the jug… and reflect on all the good you do for the Gasoline Alley world in which you inhabit. Then you can get a good night’s sleep….. and awaken refreshed to begin your good deeds again.

You’ve got to go some to lay claim to the title of “oldest” anything in the Alley, heh.

Alas, my joy was short-lived. The crazy ‘old links’ blurb is back to Featured Post. Gack. Featured Post should be about Current Comic, IMHO.
