I was a big fan of LoTR from junior high on. This led to making lots and lots of friends and being really popular. Not.

Anyway, I was in line waiting to see The Two Towers, and a couple of teen girls were behind me, going on and on about how hot elves were. (I’m pretty sure they meant how hot Orlando Bloom is, but whatever.)

Anyway, it seems Tolkien isn’t the girl repellent it was in my youth.

A video game is to literature as sudoku is to tensor calculus.
