It isn’t the having. It’s the thrill of the chase. But you cats wouldn’t understand that.

The one we had when I was a kid had the urge to herd everything, except what it was meant herd i.e. our cows.

Sophie: “Oh, yeah, right! Ask you to give me opposable thumbs!”

Because you are supposed to run away.

Kind of the same situation with dogs and cars, except cars don’t have claws.

well, according to Garfield, the answer is dance.

Dog: All we want to do is sniff you and learn your characteristic smell. We mean you no harm.

Obviously, you’re not supposed to let her catch you, because then that’d end the fun of the chase.

Cats are the same way too, you know—I know from playing with my family’s own cats over the years that they prefer the chase continuing as the moment it stops is when they start giving you annoyed looks for not continuing.

I can see why Schrödinger chose cats

Because you’re a cat I’m a dog, that’s what we do. As far as what would I do if I caught one, don’t know, I never have.
