It is fun to try new foods in new places but you two seem to be doing a hamburger tour. Perhaps you could branch out and try other types of regional specialties.

Think about all of the BBQ festivals there are in the country. And their side dishes. Love the Fried Butter. It actually is a biscuit well buttered on the inside.

Your excursions are definitely food based, and I think that’s great! Reminds me of the X and I. Wherever we’d go it always included exploring all the food options. You and Dan are lucky to still be together and always ready for another excursion!

It is a dream of mine to just take a vacation to eat, fancy places, dives, diners, every place I can think of; all the DDD and Best Thing I Ever Ate and Food Paradise places. Unfortunately, my husband could care less about food or eating out. [SIGH]. You are so fortunate to share this passion with Dan!

That’s the best part of road trips, trying all the places that aren’t in your vicinity.

My mom was from Iowa. She introduced us to loose meat sandwiches.

You could tell those restaurants that you are a famous cartoonist and you could mention their names for a free meal. They might agree to that.
