I wonder who wud pay for their ads to play on the seashell channel

I remember taping the top 40 on a portable radio tape cassette player in my teens, Ah those were the days….. I remember when all this was fields……(Rambles on incessantly)…..

it was a different time and enjoyable, until FM came to rule the waves in the late 60’s and boy then did the music take off to greater things

Reminds me of a Corpus Christi, TX radio station back in 1980 that had a promo logo of a conch shell with a telescoping radio antenna. Could be considered ironic for an “album-oriented rock” station. Sometimes a mermaid was depicted holding it to her ear.
