I’ve read that there are cicadas in Colorado, but to my knowledge, I’ve never seen or heard any. Seeing the cute doggo in the picture today reminds me – I did read a caution for people with dogs not to let them eat a lot of cicadas, as the wings are sharp and can cut the dog’s innards. (I don’t know how true that is).

Just thought of another way to measure one’s lifespan. How many cicada broods have you seen emerging?
We don’t seem to have them around here, but If I’d been in the right place, I would have seen…well, I would have had chances enough.
