But meant to be a distraction of how Stantis can’t come up with any concept that supports his (old) right wing conservatism!!

I can’t help but think of how Garry Trudeau summed up the close of the Seventies in a really old now Doonesbury strip: “Here’s to an armpit of a decade!”

There were great things in the 70s, Olivia Newton-John, Queen, Star Wars  Rocky, Elton John,  Billy Joel, Skating Rinks, Linda Ronstadt, The Rockford Files, M*A*S*H, Wings Over America, Get The Knack. Plus somehow it’s been long enough for the song “Yesterdsy Once More” to be about itself.

I wouldn’tt mind a Hollywood renaissance like we had in the ’70s.

Every decade has it good and bad. The 70s just had a bit more bad than good. The 80’s, on the other hand…much more good than bad.

Well, I did see that video of the Louisiana state troopers just plain beating a man to death, so maybe, stantisfernuthin’ is right.

I had to enlarge the strip to tell what Winslow was doing in the last panel.

I never had a syndicated strip, but when I draw for publication, I make it a point to know how it will look on the page. But hey, it’s a new drawing!
