Sentiment does not always make sense. You may love something past anyone else’s understanding because of the giver. Or, you can be cheap and love something because it was free and someone else will do the work to keep it running.
squarebody flareside pickup are in demand. I saw a few without motor or trans they were asking over 6000$ Some complete and running well into the teens Completre restomod 40-60k I wish I still had mine.
It was a used truck, just new to Marcus. I have a new truck, a 1984 Ford F150. Parked in a yard for over ten years, needs about as much work as his truck does.
I still have my ’02 Dodge ram with almost clocking 250,000 miles. And I bought that new off the lot in ’01 after 9/11.Sure I would love a new truck but at these prices to the moon for a new one.I have to keep my old truck running because I cannot afford newIf they would build just the basics in a new truck and sell it cheap enough, people would by them, rather then trying to by a condo on 4 wheels
Sigh…as someone who just replaced his 2001 Chevy Malibu with an SUV as that’s the only thing I could find in a 300-mile area with under 75k miles on it for less than $12k, I feel Clarence’s pain. I loved that old car, but it was just time to get a new one. Shame used cars have gone straight to the moon in price. Took me 1.5 years to stumble into this one, and the prices have done nothing but skyrocket.

So his brother loves him for giving him a present that was not a present but was a misunderstanding, sound like a pretty typical family to me.

You know how old it is when Charlene (the mechanic of the family) is wondering about some of the parts…

I don’t get the last panel. Clarence was hoping somebody would steal the new truck he just gave his brother for Christmas?

The ad on the side of my screen right now is for donating old cars to Make-a-Wish. Clarence should have tried that route, I guess….

Pick ups go through an awkward stage between being semi-new and a classic. That in between stage is where they are considered “Junk.”

Is that thing on Marcus’s chin a soul patch? or another tattoo?
