From an early age I hated maudlin songs such as “Danny Boy” or “My Buddy”. “Oh, Mein Pa-pa” was at the top of my list.

I grew up with a Dumont TV, and the Dumont network was one of the 4 out TV would receive along with CBS, NBC and ABC
