Plus 30 for me and I’ve spent the last 8 months building a retaining wall in my back yard and 100 feet of raised planters out of decorative bricks. I did it all on weekends and vacations since I work full time. Forty is just a baby! At 50 I was just hitting my stride, at 60 things really started coming together for me. That dad needs to jump out of that bed and start building something. p.s. I’m a woman, with arthritis and a bad back, but I just keep on truckin’ and hope to continue until I’m 100 (plus)

37th anniversary of my 39th birthday on Monday!

Dad, you have to get up before you can have your official midlife crisis!

Back in 2010, soon after his 50th birthday, my husband ended up in ICU for almost 3 weeks, given a 35% chance of survival. Thankfully, he beat the odds. However, now when someone we know turns 50, my older daughter wonders if they’re going to “fall apart”! (I still have a year to go before hitting 50.)

I’m trying to check the status of all my organs right now and they’re not responding. This is bad.

Binky’s dad should get a complete physical (assuming he has decent health insurance). Too many men don’t go to the doctor (“because they might find something wrong”), so by the time they exhibit acute/chronic symptoms, it is often too late to provide effective treatment.

Midlife crisis….not pretty.

I don’t need a doctor to tell me I’m screwed. Anyway I can’t afford it.

I remember 40, that’s when I had my first heart attack. Had the second one 12 years later. They say the third time’s the charm.

This is SO spooky. It is my birthday too. And daughter just called to wish me a happy. And I feel kind of like Binkley’s Pop at 64.
