I love your haiku! Was Pippin an elephant who reincarnated as a cat? That would explain so much. Or maybe he was friends with an elephant in an animal rescue farm before finding a new home with Pippi and Fargo.

One too many syllables in the middle line

When I was growing up, my first cat was a grey tuxedo cat named Sox. When he sat like Pippin, from the back he did indeed look like an elephant!
