Poor Peekaboo doesn’t realize that’s not a real owl and it won’t fly away.

I guess that Peekaboo is afraid that the Owl will spring into action.

In the night sky of the first panel, Peekaboo’s body reminds me of a face where her body is the moustache!

Girlfriend on mine once brought home a plaster Egyptian cat about 2½ feet tall, seated position, with jewelry (necklace and earring) engraved into it and asked me to help her fix a couple of cracks and paint it.

Her own cat came home from the day’s wanderings, in the front door of her studio apartment and face to face with this glossy black cat staring at him and froze stiff. He made it to the kitchen, but only by essentially walking on the walls, as far from Bast as he could manage without ever taking his eyes off her.

I used to go to a beach club and years ago they tried to scare away the sea gulls with these fake owls. The owls were placed on top of the light poles, and some would rotate 180 degrees.

How successful was this? One day I saw a gull sitting on top of one of the stationary owls!

My mother bought one of those because of pigeons on her deck. Didn’t work.

My neighbor has one in her tree to keep the squirrels away. Has a hole in the back big enough for them to get inside and make a nest in it.

And the owl is thinking if he stays still maybe old sardine breath will run off.

I saw a Bald Eagle swoop down and grab a good-sized rabbit out of the road right in front of me. Glad all my cats are indoor cats!

A friend of mine and I each raised orphaned great horned owl chicks that were fostered to us by a game warden. Her owl, when grown, ate the neighbor’s cat. We found that quite ironic.
