I had a customer once complain to our CEO that I “treated (her) like an idiot.” The problem is that she was an idiot. My boss relayed her story and backed me up, and that was the last I heard of it.
Always considered the “rinse and repeat” to be a ploy to trick you into using more of the product … it puts the “sham” in shampoo (as has been noted … Whamond touched a nerve indeed) …!
It is true that splitting shampoo into two portions and washing twice does get your hair cleaner than using the same amount all at once. It’s the chemistry of dilution.

David Letterman used to do a bit about shampooing chiding the repeat as stupid. But who wanted hair like Letterman’s?

I finally figured out that the directions to do that on shampoo sole purpose was to get it to run out sooner…
