The Ama are amazing pearl divers and have been around for hundreds of years in Japan. It’s nice to have an opportunity to spotlight them, even if Mai has to keep Karl and Tanuki’s minds in the right place.
There were a lot of Japanese jobs that were performed either Naked or very close to naked.
Fabric for Clothing was Expensive and, if doing your job would Damage that fabric, clothing came Off.
