Best cat game ever. I have a ragdoll who loves to sit by a doorway, just to have a little swipe at anyone going past. No malice, he just wants you to know he’s there and could have killed you if he had wanted to.
Don’t use your hand as a cat toy. The cat will always think it is a toy and ok to attack your hands. Holding a cat toy in your hands is ok, just don’t use them as cat toys.

I understand playing with the cat like that. The only drawback is that it can encourage them to nip enthusiastically. I have experience in that area.
