I was once at a comic/gaming convention. I was like a kid in a toy store. In a dimly lit area I and a friend were looking at vintage comics. I noticed he comics had hard plastic sealing around them, rather than the “freezer bag” type plastic. I held up a Superman and noticed the date. The vendor said that was his “House and Car Box”. I was holding Superman #1. I carefully put it back. That mag alone was worth more $ than anything I own.
The Gourd. Once an humble vegetable, now internationally renowned as a fierce percussion instrument, terrifies evil-doers with his battle cry of rattle-rattle-rattle!
Ouch. I get the truck probably won’t get them much, but surely it’d still be a decent amount of money, so that just goes to show much much that comic’s going for.
Personally, I kinda want to know more about the comic next to it—“Car Guy.”
I sincerely hope that the comic shop guy (employee, owner?) washes his hands before handling any of his wares. Otherwise, burger and fries grease could ruin a mint comic.

Wallace, you realize that if you bought it, you’d never be allowed to read it, right?

Can anyone make out the title of the comic with the pink bird on the front right over the man’s head?

The cashier looks the part to a “T”. He could be the owner? Anyway, love it!

Shwaps #11 is almost as valuable: Shwaps meets Capt. Schnookums in a battle to the death!

Definitely a very cool mom AND she didn’t rule out the selling of the truck idea out of hand…..

Does anyone remember Little Lulu? I have a near-complete collection (not mint) dating back to the 40s. Not action/adventure, but great stories.

Hey, it’s an artifact. It transported Lewis and Clark across America. Definitely worth a few pennies.
