My cousin owned a salvage yard. We went to visit and he dragged in a car and let my kids push the crush button. It was a small crusher and a big car, so everybody got to push the button on a different section. They argued over who got to crush the section that broke the windshield.
My dad had an auto salvage yard and I worked tor him for several years. We did not have a crusher. We sold the no longer profitable cars to the U S Army, which used them as target practice.
