Good Morning, Plods with Beer. I don’t think so. The colors are all there, but they kind of change position. the white areas turning to my blue theme and the blue areas turning to white. And then they change when I refresh. I’m going to see what it does on IE. I’m on Firefox right now. BBS

I did notice that there’s kind of a 3D effect on the toons that I hadn’t noticed before. Normmaly that’s cause of the speed I tour with.

I’m running on IE now. I want to see if it happens here. But IE is always slower.

HopeandJoy, here is the basic instructions on putting up pictures if you don’t have time now you can save it for later.

The Unofficial GoComics Style Guide by The Old Wolf gives directions on most of what we do in the comments.

Posting a picture is the same whether it is animated or not.

The picture has to be available online.

Then the method is:


The picture should be 320 or less pixels wide. If it is not the extra length will not show up.

To determine the image’s unique URL:

To determine the URL, in Opera, at least, you right click on the image, then select “Copy Image Address”, which puts the image’s URL on your clipboard, ready to paste in.

With Firefox, right click on the image, select “Copy Image Location”

With IE, right-click on the image, select “Properties” and copy/paste the URL from the box it opens.

~ You can put your own images/pictures online using myspace, photobucket or something else. To get the URL on photobucket you can use the direct link below the picture or the right click methods.

Oh, you can also right click on an image select copy and then right click on the email you are writing and select paste to put a picture in the email.

Hummm … I was thinking of blue as in sad.

On other thing about posting pictures: don’t do too many, and don’t make them too big, or you risk having them removed.

I know, Sojo–but the same reason you have to sing through the blues, sometimes you have to dance them, so they don’t take over entirely.

Sister Kab,

one option for putting up smaller pictures on GoComics, especially if you don’t want to keep the picture, is to use the above method to get the URL of the sample pictures. When you google image or are looking for images in photobucket you can try right clicking the image you see instead of going to the bigger image.

In Photobucket they now have two methods to change sizes of the images in your account. For both methods you click on the image you want so that is the only image you are looking at.   1st method: From the bar that appears and disappears above the image select edit. It will take you to a different window that offers you many options such as resize, crop, adjust. It is fairly easy to use. Just play with it using an image you don’t care about until you are comfortable. When you are done you have the option of saving the new image as a separate image or replacing the original. This method does not let you keep animated effects that were already in image, though you can add some there (this is not something I have done)   2nd method From the bar that appears and disappears above the image under resize click on one of the three size options. 100 x 75 … 160 x 120 … 320 x 240 (if the picture is smaller, the option won’t show up). This will resize your picture, your original image will be lost. So if you want to keep it make sure you have another copy. Resizing this way does keep animations like Happy Dance!

If you want to include text: (note there should not be a space between the b and the s, I just used it because I was having trouble getting it to show up without it)

and/or you can put the non-breaking space character (&nb sp;) after the image and then post text after like:

 &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; Man who run behind car get exhausted.

The number of &nb sp; you put between the image command and the text determines the amount blank space between the text and picture. More may be required to get the words to show up below the picture instead of next to the picture. Especially if the picture does not take up the whole width of the column. It took ten for the above image to have text below instead of beside the image.

Anyway, since I have done a lot of emailing pictures and copy to myself, I copied what you have said and sent it to myself by email to consider and see what I can come up with.

When I was talking about Curling yesterday, it was frustrating not to be able to do as Grog did and just send the video I had found.

You did a good job of explaining so I will see if I can apply what you have said.

Getting some extra rest today, Sojo. I don’t want to get another bout like the last one.

Ooops I copied and pasted your dancing blue man (which I think is clever) to an email to myself and he is now dancing away in my inbox and will be saved…..Go Comics makes my life difficult!
