Ok, English teacher here. Last panel: “…I never should have SHOWED you…” WHAT? Red, Red, Red…. it’s SHOWN you. Not “showed”. Maybe you need summer school!

Red is a real negotiator in today’s strip. He usually negotiates for a better deal with Mom rather than with Rover.

Rover has to keep their strength up . Let’s eat! A milky bone might hold Rover for a while?

My dogs, like Red, can tell the time without using a clock. They may be off by 5 or 10 minutes but over all are pretty good about knowing “when”.

Whenever a temporary work assignment ended, I could finally catch up on sleep. But then I got too much sleep and depressed that I would ever find a job again.

I had a cat that could read a clock. He would trot onto the kitchen, look at the clock on the wall, then walk back to his bed, discouraged. When is was exactly snack time, he would start telling us. Couldn’t read digital clocks though, only analog.

Heck, they don’t need to know how to read clocks! My boy won’t let me sleep past 7 AM – wants his walk AND his breakfast!
