#Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, Chalkie has a reference point for answering the pub quiz about the ATM machines it was the day he drew a fiver to “Lend” to our HERO Mr Andrew Capp to buy beer :o) so I guess Mr White is smarter than me because I have never used one , I let Connie draw up to 700 Euro with her card :o) my avatar today is Grumpy because that’s how I feel after we spent sleepless another whole night with a power outage in a heatwave , I doubt the techs can change a fuse in a 3 pin plug :o) how was your day our Thursday should e very busy but we shall cope I hope , we have already done our bulk shopping but have no errand to run and are in a sleepy good mood :o] keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
@Number Three 21 years ago on a day as hot as today’s my eldest son Arthur got married and we had to buy our first AC unit because my sister’s and Connie’s make up was melting and we men were dressed as penguins
I used my debit card in Denmark and Norway and I got charged for it I believe. I didn’t use an ATM there, I paid with my card in a gift shop.
I believe Denmark is cashless anyway. I’m dreading when the UK becomes cashless. And I’m fully aware I’m going to be told to “get with the times” but I have an answer for that:
I was 22 when I learned how to use an ATM. Because that’s when I got my first debit card. I was incorrectly told that you needed to be over 18 to get a debit card and I believed it.
I didn’t go out today but I did sit in the back garden. 5 “Likes” on this comment and I will post photos tomorrow.
Wish me luck for bingo tomorrow, pal. I am hoping to win some money then.
We have the 3 pin sockets over here too.
Stay safe, stay well and stay happy. Our favourite day of the week tomorrow.

Redundancy in the first panel. MC basically said, “Question 10: When did the United Kingdom get its first automated teller machine machines?”

The first ATM machine in the US went online at the Chemical Bank in Rockville Center NY on September 2, 1969.

If I remember rightly, it was the Nat West and you could only draw a tenner (not a fiver)…

I bet Andy has never given Flo the opportunity use an ATM either: he cleans out her salary even before it reaches the bank!

Believe it or not, I’ve never used an ATM. I either use a credit card or pay with money I keep at home.
