Reminds me of a bit from All In The Family. I think it is Mike’s uncle we are meeting, who is a Marine, out of the service, and now a florist. Archie says something about that being a strange career change, and Uncle says something about having spent so many years killing people it was nice making things grow.

Not to belittle the Marine at all, but it takes a lot of tough people to grow the food we eat.
