I’m reminded of my mother in law, who’s predicted 17 of our last three crises.

I had just commented last week agreeing with another comment about not being a fan of the Gene strips.

Oh it’s the Mom Sense! I know it well! (on the Mom side, but also from the long-ago other side of it too.)

In keeping with current events, I suspect the restaurant is very busy again but understaffed. Road trip, A&J!

We don’t have it on our local cable channel offerings but my mom, in a different area of the US, definitely gets ANN – the Armageddon News Network. Somehow it always reports that severe weather has hit Raleigh, NC when, in actuality, it was two hours to the east on the coast or four hours west in the mountains. :)

It’s fun with Gene and MaryLou. Often Arlo and Janis see their younger selves in those two. I miss Meg too.

I see Go Comics still hasn’t figured out how to have the current strip appear first. Guys, this is your business, certain basic skills are required.

The Janis signal!

Maybe she wants to know Gene didn’t call Arlo on Fathers Day?

When Janis is older, it will be the Old Bat Signal.

(I know. Bad joke and insensitive. However, as Redd Foxx said to Andrew Dice Clay, “If somebody ain’t angry, you ain’t funny.”)

“Quick Arlo! To the Mom Poles!”

It is just a little bit confusing though…….. “Call no matter how late.” …. to me, if I were Gene and MaryLou, that would be a message that makes it sound like there is something wrong over at Arlo and Janis’s home….. not that Janis is sensing something is happening between Gene and MaryLou.

It will be interesting to see what transpires, though. Is this going to be an arc that is a premonition arc of Gene and MaryLou experiencing a pregnancy or some such thing? I do not really know, but it is interesting to speculate.

I kind of got lost on the JANIS (BAT SYMBOL) in the sky. But I know what it is like to get a premonition to check on your kids. No matter how old they get any little drama comes back to the parents. Any little Idea to how they could help comes back to the parents. Anyway time to give Arlo the Horn Dog (MY MAN) a little break. There are other bushes to trim. (Sorry about that pun!)

I get a man in black and it usually takes a couple of calls to figure it out.

Like the gibbous moon. You very rarely see that in comics. It matches today’s phase, too.

I can’t help but be curious why people who don’t like optional choices persist in pursuing them.

I follow Arlo & Janis in an actual newspaper, so I came here to decipher the final panel. In my newspaper the crucial caption on top was just an unreadable brown blob!!
