it’s an hour after the comics turn, and again, I’m the first person in ten years to post in this forum.

But I’m here to talk about

Come on people…. Monday is “New Cleo Day.”

And this one looks new to me…. which means Nighthawks will probably tell me it isn’t…

But I don’t think I’ve seen it before.

And Claude, there’s your problem.

It’s NOT the “calm before the storm.”

It’s a missed opportunity to get off your posterior, go outside, and stop the storm before it starts.

Have you ever heard of people who… you know…. control their dogs??

No, I didn’t think so. Sigh….

After you give them access to all that firepower, it goes to their heads and they’re much more difficult to control.

Who can be the object of Cleo’s firepower? The evil cat? Squirrels? Lies and injustice, wherever they may be found? (Just kidding with that last one. It IS Cleo.)

At their age, what in the Hell is there to be so gleeful about???

That’s why I gave up years ago on putting in names… but sometimes it works in our little group.

I’d love to have our group get too big, of course.

I was taking another look at today’s strip… and I realised any two panels are a Find the Differences puzzle..

Altogether, it’s like one of those puzzles we used to get in…. I dunno…. Junior Scholastic?

Which two squares are exactly the same?

BTW, Farside… I think Cleo looks too calm already.

Preternaturally calm…. verging on steely-eyed…. in a soft, basset-eyed way.

Wondering why one of the posters from 2009 mentioned “open-mindedness.”

Is that some sort of innuendo…. like, an implication about the implications of being gleeful?

Being gleeful doesn’t belong to any particular type of people… or animals… especially on Ballard Street.

Claude hasn’t seen what the evil cat up the street has for firepower. Half eaten fish that has been stored in the sun for a week and is now loaded in ten cannons and ready to cover Cleo’s house.

In the meantime, Cleo’s stuff got towed.

I had a dream that Clara, Claude and Cleo said some bad words (maybe the top-hatted censor from Pearls Before Swine nipped that in the bud?).

Cleo is just anticipating…….be prepared and all that. I think she has control over the situation rather well. That must be the new remote control for the TV and weapons arsenal.

Maybe it’s a yard sale because she’s upgrading.

You could use Saturday’s puzzle scene for panel eleven!

Now Cleo can relax, knowing she is fully prepared for whatever life brings.

Yes, Claude & Clara, let’s just sit & wait nice & patiently, watch whatever Cleo puts on TV & see what happens !!!

Maybe Cleo wants rid of the Glee club!!!
