In Tarzan the Magnificent (the book) Tarzan is immune to the hypnotic power of a witch doctor’s magic diamond, possibly (it says) due to his beast like thought processes. Arguably, this situation is different as it involves mind reading rather than control of the will.

I wonder what caliber gun that is that’s firing at him? I ask because in most comics, the gun goes “Blam!”, not “Bam!”.
