“Tarn-girt” is a word you don’t often see on the funny pages!

Even my dictionary does not know it !

But I saw Q*U*E*E*R in Prince valiant, and it is strange because its second meanig does not exists too there… The word was even removed by a Forum software. (thus the * I add in it).

Tarn is a small pond or pool without tributaries, Girt means to surround or encircle……

Yeah, I think a lot of us looked that one up. I got the same definition as dave1960 but it came in two parts. Tarn and Girt.
