The only thing dumber than Tarzan (with his keen jungle senses) missing everything about the film crew is traveling to Africa to shoot a movie/television show. Don’t you know that is why the good Lord gave us Hollywood back lots?

The country’s government giving out a permit to shoot anywhere? Okay, that’s stupid, but you give out a large enough bribe and you might get it… But then you have enough money you don’t need to complain. And $50,000 a day? Even when the strip originally ran that was dirt cheap for the salaries of everyone involved in the filming, lodgings, and everything else necessary for filming thousands of miles from home.

Careful kids. Not wanders too much into dangerous jungle. You is never knows when you is might falls into one of Tarzan’s pits.
