Actually, the inability to read a map is more common than you’d think. We issue maps of our community to after hour arrivals. Not all of them can find their site, and we have to guide them ourselves.
We have a map dispenser at the office for delivery drivers. Just about the time that we properly train a driver, the company throws in a new one.
Sadly, maps have pretty much become obsolete since GPS was introduced. Makes me sad too. We do a lot of road trips and there’s nothing like spreading out a big map and planning a trip.

I think the key to getting out of this is Wally. He has been a silent presence.

What?!? They don’t have a compass. . .or the North Star? They always do in books. . .I’m sure some enterprising big feline/bear will find them. . .

At least they don’t have a car that requires cellular coverage to open the doors! An oversight on the part of city folks in the design department.

The Drabbles probably have a map of the wrong park.

Ask a GenXer to get out a map and watch the fun begin (as a glazed/dazed look comes over the face)

The waterfall or river behind them might be a good starting point. Just a suggestion…..

They are on a path, a marked trail. Hello? Just turn around and go back. What is the problem?

To start, the wrong person is holding map. Give it to Wally.
