Republicans want minorities to pay poll taxes. Of course, if you already have a drivers license or a conceal and carry permit you can vote. No questions asked.

For some reason, Republicans don’t think school ID is proof of citizenship. They miss the good old days when only land owning white men were allowed to vote.

I see nothing wrong with a true and fair voter ID. Those who want to require one must first set up a fair and unbiased system for issuing it and then make sure that it is easy for everyone to get. They must also go out of their way to assist those with disabilities and any other problems in acquiring one. The Q-publicans want to require an ID that people they don’t like will have difficulty in getting.

If you can do tic-tac-toe, you can fill out rank voting ballot. The problem wasn’t rank voting; it was the board of elections counting the wrong (test) ballots.

Our country has managed with it for over a century. What’s not to like? The winner is the one found to have over 50% of the voters supporting them. Unlike first-past-the-post voting where in a three cornered contest where you can win with 34% of the vote.

Is that the Butterfly’s ballot that elected G W Bush by 517 votes in a state controlled by his BROTHER?

    No nothing shady about that.

Y’know, at this point in time of our history, we have the most fair, equitable and accessible voting system ever. It takes minimal effort to cast one’s ballot. If you bother to look up what Jim Crow laws actually were, you’d know that none of the states current or proposed regulations to prevent any kind of fraud comes anywhere near that kind of voter suppression. Jim Crow laws had three basic means of voter suppression and I’ll take on anyone in a reasonable discussion as to how our current or proposed laws are equivalent to Jim Crow in any way.
