A certain mind set thinks that way. Tends to be a GOP voter and not very willing to share with others or for that matter does not play well with others. Some children will almost immediately share with others, some children seem to want it all and hoard their stash. Just a very different way of seeing the world.I have always been convinced that sharing is the better way for everyone. Did not go out and buy bales of TP when we had to shelter in place, got enough, that is all I needed.

The Fox “news” viewers really believe that as long as they, themselves are not in the bottom 50%, that increasing wealth inequality is not only acceptable, but desirable.

    THERE’S A WAR ON CHRISTMAS!

THEY WANT TO REPLACE THE CONSTITUTION WITH SHARIA LAW!

THEY’LL TEACH YOUR LITTLE WHITE KID TO HATE HIMSELF FOR BEING WHITE! AND YOU!

JOE BIDEN WANTS TO TAKE YOUR BIBLE! EVEN THOUGH HE’S CATHOLIC!

And the people who respond to that sort of fear-mongering actually believe that they’re the tough ones.

This is actually true. In the words of the supporters of the great reset: “You’ll own nothing. And You’ll be happy”.

Surely Stantis isn’t saying that the dinosaur is a Democrat?

That’s not like him at all.

Stantis sits back from the drawing board, pleased with himself. He rewards himself for a minute or two, then goes back to the board for the next task: A cartoon showing how liberals are trying to take everything away from conservatives.

I am expected to pay higher taxes, because I’m not rich, so the very rich can pay lower taxes because the very rich aren’t rich enough? So that’s what they mean by a “Luxury Tax.”

    Well… The R/W goal to Own / P!$$ off the Libs…

Was never about how much the right wing loves the Libs….

    ~

Gamers borrowed the term from the nascent world of 1990s computer hacking, using it to describe their conquered opponents: “owned.”

To “own the libs” does not require victory so much as a commitment to infuriating, flummoxing or otherwise distressing liberals with one’s awesomely uncompromising conservatism.

And its pop-cultural roots and clipped snarkiness are perfectly aligned with a party that sees pouring fuel on the culture wars’ fire as its best shot at surviving an era of Democratic control.

In one sense, this is the natural outgrowth of the Trump era. Inasmuch as there was a coherent belief that explained his agenda, it was lib-owning —

    — whether that meant hobbling NATO, declining to disavow the QAnon conspiracy theory, floating the prospect of a fifth head on Mount Rushmore (his, naturally), or using federal resources to combat the New York Times’ “1619 Project.”

But in a post-Trump America, to “own the libs” is less an identifiable act or set of policy goals than an ethos, a way of life, even a civic religion.

“I can envision a time where [pro-Trump Florida Rep.] Matt Gaetz could pin a picture of [Democratic New York Rep.] Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to his own crotch, and smash it with a ball-peen hammer,

…and he’ll think it’s a huge success if 100,000 liberals attack him as an idiot,” says Jonah Goldberg, editor-in-chief of the anti-Trump conservative outlet The Dispatch.

“It’s a way of taking what the other side criticizes about you and making it into a badge of honor.”

Its the lying racist republican losers who constantly claim they are the aggrieved party while they go on a democracy destroying tantrum because the majority voted their monster out of office.
