You are right only when Gladys doesn’t feel like debating with you Brutus. If you are right or wrong isn’t the point, so you lose one way or another. One doesn’t ‘win’ an argument with their wife.

Probably because it’s got to the point that he wouldn’t know if he was right.

To be fair to Brutus, he is rarely right. So he hasn’t had much practice on how to act when he is.

Hard to believe but it seems Brutus has even more faults than he’s aware of.

She really was nice to him — she could have said, in panel two, “I don’t know. I don’t remember you ever being right.”

I tell my wife, “It’s not often that I am right, I need to get this in while I can.”
