I named my first car (1969-82) George and my friend named her little Spitfire Brunhilde. Whenever we parked them together overnight, I always said I wanted the pick of the litter! All my cars since have had variations of that name—Little George (1982-1995), Georgina (1995-2010), and Georgette (2010-present).

Hmm…I haven’t named any of my cars since I was 19. I had a Caddie limo that I named “Mother Bear.”

IMHO car mechanics see a sucker immediately if he/she has named the car.

Why do you keep shouting your car’s name at other drivers, Jan?

Oh, it heard that! You’re going to want to give it a quart of oil and a pat on the trunk to make up.
