@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny ,but a recent repeat ,our HERO Mr Andrew Capp has to go to the Job Centre so he can keep on getting the dole but I like his choice of a job :o) I only registered for six months for a clerical job after finishing Secondary school , when my mum read in the paper that there was an opening for a 3 i/2 years to become a State Registered Nurse , since I had 8 GCE subjects I was accepted without doing an entrance exam , I never regretted my choice I came first in class at the finals , met girls and flirted till I met Connie :o), my avatar again is Rowan Atkinson as Mr bean grinning because he’s happy like I am but a little sad at his team losing to the Italians , how was your day? our Manic Monday should be very busy as it usually is but we should cope I hope , no shopping or errands to run , we are both in a good mood in spite of the infernal heat drinking lots of chilled bottled and chill till our mobile greengocer van comes along this afternoon, , being an Anglophile I am sad the Brits lost to the Italians , keep safe and hydrated and thanks for caring young Lady
I know you look back fondly on your days as a nurse. It’s a wonderful profession.
I did watch the England vs Italy match last night and I was on the edge of my seat when it came to the penalities. It is unusual for me to almost cry over a football match since I don’t even follow football that often. However the defeat is now at the back of my mind. I’m now upset at the racism those three England players have endured. It makes me sick.
I was at my volunteering today and it was boring. There are some things I’m not allowed to do for security reasons I’m guessing which sucks. I did answer a few calls and that’s it. I would love to have a big pile of shredding to do every time. I find shredding therapeutic like I said.
Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal.
Early retirement…did that, took my money and ran like hell from the jerks that bankrupted the two largest van lines in the world. They made out like bandits but I kept mine and still have it intact +++++$$$$. The problem is that I like working even though I don’t need to.

Ideally, Andy would prefer to retire before the job!

Retirement……..The only Job Andy has the time to look for. I’m looking forward to it myself if I can find a friend to buy my beer.

Hint to Andy: You have to have a job before you can retire.
