When my husband and I first got married, we went to our local county fair. I love the ferris wheel, so my husband and I took a ride. We had our arms intertwined (romantically, I thought), but once it started, I realized he was TERRIFIED! He was afraid of heights but went on it because he knew I loved them. When it was over, I told him to NEVER do that again. I don’t mind riding alone. He can stay safe on the ground, guard my stuff and take pictures.

Probably safer, actually.

I loved carnival rides as a kid, but I’m not as brave as Lola and have no intention of riding one at my age

At least we can go to such events this year. 2020 wasn’t so permissive.
